Grant Writing Basics   

Participants will learn how to seek funding opportunities from foundations and public sources. The requirements of a proposal will be highlighted, including identifying a problem or need, researching and selecting project solutions, and developing a project budget. This session will be interactive and include hands-on practice in writing various aspects of a grant proposal. 4.75 hours Social Work CEU available Suggested Materials: • Note taking materials • Laptop with internet access (not required, but may be beneficial) General Outline of Training: - Locating potential grant funding - Analyzing the Request for Proposals - Steps to submitting a proposal: 1) Identifying a problem or need 2) Researching and selecting project solutions 3) Developing a budget
