This online certification program is designed for those dedicated to supporting individuals facing mental health challenges or substance abuse. This comprehensive course equips you with the skills necessary for impactful community support, preparing you for a rewarding career in helping others navigate their journeys toward recovery and independence. Course Eligibility – To enroll in the Community Support Associate (CSA) 10-hour course you shall:
- Be eighteen (18) years of age or older;
- Have a minimum educational requirement of a high school diploma or General Equivalence Diploma (GED) certificate;
- Have one (1) year of full-time experience working with individuals who receive services for treatment of a: 1. Mental health disorder; or 2. Co-occurring disorder;
- Successfully complete within six (6) months of hire the department-led or approved training program described in Section 3 of 908 KAR 2:250;
This is a synchronous online class. You are expected to virtually attend each class session.
Class times are as follows:
Saturday - 10am to 3:30pm
Sunday- 10am to 3:30pm
