Movies with a Mission: Documentaries Affecting Change

As the mainstream media continues its downward spiral, documentary films are more important than ever in affecting change, from “Inside Job”, which exposed the Wall Street and Banking debacle of the 2000s to “An Inconvenient Truth”, Al Gore’s look at global warming. Each week students will watch an entire documentary, followed by explanation and group discussion of the content. Students will benefit greatly from the expertise of instructor Steve Oldfield, award winning documentary filmmaker and nationally syndicated film critic.
