ServSafe Manager Certification course is designed to prepare an individual to set for the ServSafe Manager Certification exam. This course covers the 7th Edition ServSafe Manager Book with the ISBN number of 978-0134812359. This book can be purchased at the West Kentucky Community and Technical College campus bookstore or online.
Areas that will be covered include: Providing Safe Food, Forms of Contamination, The Safe Food Handler, The Flow of Food: An Introducation, Purchaseing, Receiving and Storage, Preparation, Service, Food Safety Management Systems, Safe Facilities and Pest Management, Cleaning and Sanitizing.
You will need to bring a valid ID, pen, and paper for taking notes. You will be allowed drinks and snacks in the classroom, but not in the computer room while taking the exam.
For this class you will need to set up a user account at the ServSafe.com website. Once on their site you will click on Log In/Create an account then click on Create New Profile. Fill out everything that has a red * beside it. You will not enter anything for the Session number. After your account is created make sure you write down your user name and password and bring it with you to the class as that is what you will need when you sit for your exam.
This is an 8 hour class plus 2 hours for the exam for a total of 10 hours. We will have 2 - 10 minute breaks and 1- 30 minute lunch and you will have time to go over material before taking the exam.
