In this two day workshop you will create a Sterling Silver ring utilizing the ancient techniques of casting with cuttlefish bone!

Each student will be provided with one cuttlefish bone, and the amount of silver used in  the final ring project.  Students will carve creative designs into the bone and fill those designs with molten Sterling Silver casting grain with a torch.  After this process the students will finish the ring with a high polish in our tumbler, and leave class wearing their creations.  Students will walk away with an introduction in smithing skills, an understanding of craft and material, and a stunning ring that elegantly adorns the hand!
